FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The City of Fort Wayne says they will finish collecting and the Republic Services compost site will no longer be accepting storm debris by August 19.

Crews have been collecting storm debris for residents impacted by two separate storms on June 13 and July 5.

The City Utilities Biosolids Facility, 6202 Lake Avenue, is still accepting tree branches and limbs from residents, with a regular disposal fee, the City says. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m and on Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.

Fees at the facility had been waived for residents to drop off tree limbs and branches, but the drop-off prices have since been reinstated with a minimum of $1 for up to 100 pounds or $20 per ton.
