Warm temps, isolated showers for Sunday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Another hot and humid day to round out the weekend. A moist airmass will hang around at least through Monday afternoon, so while the air temperature for both Sunday and Monday will be in the upper-to-mid 80s, the feels like temperatures for both days will be in the upper 90s. So, pay attention to your body if you’re spending long periods of time outside.
Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are possible on Sunday afternoon and evening. However, no need to cancel any outdoor plans. If you plan to head to the Tincaps game in the afternoon, maybe take an umbrella or poncho, but you might not need it.
Overnight into Monday morning, more thunderstorms will move into the western half of the area, but will weaken as they move east.
Monday will feature scattered rain showers and storms, primarily in the late afternoon and through the evening. Tuesday will also have scattered showers and storms, but should wrap up by the late afternoon.
You’ll notice quite the difference from Monday into Tuesday. The humidity will start to leave the area and temperatures will drop from the 80s into the upper 70s for the high. We’ll be in a quieter weather pattern until the weekend.
