FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Showers and storms will move through early this evening, with more widely scattered showers lasting through Thursday.

Showers and storms move through northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio from 5PM to 9PM tonight. Some storms could have some gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning. The tornado threat is very very low. After the storms, a few showers may linger through the overnight hours.

Widely scattered showers and a few storms are likely through the day Thursday. There’s not necessarily a particular time when showers will be most likely. We’ll also have our fair share of dry time, so you don’t necessarily need to cancel any plans, just keep an eye on the radar. Highs Thursday will be in the mid 80s.

The chance for a stray shower lingers into Friday and the weekend. Most locations should stay dry, but the chance for a shower or two is there, especially south of Fort Wayne.

The mugginess also sticks around through the weekend. Temperatures settle in the mid to upper 80s, but it will feel like the low to mid 90s at times. A cold front looks to move through Monday into Tuesday, cooling us down for the second half of next week.
