Heat and humidity return Wednesday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Skies clear back out Tuesday before the heat and humidity build back in Wednesday.
Showers and storms this morning moved south of Fort Wayne, taking most of the energy of the day with them. As a result, the impulse that moved through this afternoon didn’t have a whole lot to work with. Skies clear through the remainder of the evening, and humidity should decrease somewhat. Lows fall to the mid 60s.
Tuesday stays less humid, but temperatures will be a few degrees warmer. Highs rise to the mid to upper 80s.
The heat really ramps up Wednesday. Temperatures soar to the low 90s. As the humidity also builds in, it will feel like the upper 90s, close to 100°. Some storms are possible in the evening.
The humidity is here to stay for the remainder of the week, with 70° dew points making it feel pretty muggy. More rain and storm chances are likely Thursday. Highs return to the mid to upper 80s through next weekend. A stray storm is possible any of those days, but most spots should stay dry.
