Nice end to the weekend before storms chances return
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We’ve got one more nice day in store before the work week kicks off and the storm chances return, as well as some heat and humidity.
Sunday will feature periods with more clouds and times with more sun. A great day to spend outside. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
For the first day of the work week, the day will start dry. However, as a cold front starts to approach our area, rain and storms will start to pop-up. I expect an isolated strong thunderstorm to develop, but don’t expect severe weather on Monday. As of this forecast, the timing for the storms looks to be between about 2pm and 7pm, with the line working west to east. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
Calm weather is expected for Tuesday and Wednesday, but the heat and humidity will build in. High temperatures on Wednesday will be in the low 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s, lower 100s.
Thursday looks to be another day we could see some thunderstorms develop as another front pushes through our area.
