FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A complex of rain and storms will move through our area on Saturday morning. There is a small chance one or two storms turn severe, but that’s not the main concern. Places that get caught under strong thunderstorms could experience some heavy rain since our atmosphere is primed with moisture.

Into the late morning, rain and storms should taper off. We’ll stay mostly dry except for a stray rain shower in the afternoon on Saturday. It’ll be a hot and humid day with temperatures in the upper 80s and the heat index into the low to mid 90s in the afternoon.

A warm and muggy overnight into Sunday morning. It’s possible some thunderstorms redevelop overnight and Sunday morning. Temperatures dropping only into the low 70s by morning.

The day starts dry on Sunday, but as a cold front swings through our area, which will have a warm and humid airmass in place, we’ll see some rain and storms start to fire off. Once again, as this front rolls through, there’s the chance for an isolated severe storm. The primary threat with these storms will be strong winds. Once again, highs in the upper 80s with head index in the 90s.

Some relief returns for the first day of the work week, but more rain and storms are possible during the week.
