Temperatures rising this week
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - After a couple of days of gloomy, wet weather, the sunshine is going to return. However, so is the heat.
One or two isolated rain showers will linger into mid-morning on Monday, but then we’ll start to see clouds clear out starting around the noon hour. A slight shift in the large scale pattern change will allow warm, moist air into our area. High temps will be in the mid 80s with the feels like temperature 1-2 degrees higher than that.
The hottest and most humid day out of the next 7 is going to come on Wednesday. After another day in the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday, highs on Wednesday will be around 90 for most of us. The heat index on Wednesday noteworthy, making it into the 95-100 degree range. So, just use some precautions if you’re spending time outside for long stretches on Wednesday.
Mostly clear conditions are going to continue for much of the week. There’s a small chance of an isolated rain shower on Wednesday evening as the tail-end of a cold front passing to the north of us might pop something up. Other than that, dry conditions expected until the weekend.
