FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Heat and humidity will combine for dangerously hot conditions tomorrow during the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 90s tomorrow along with dewpoints rising to near 70 degrees. This will create heat indices or feels like temperatures above 100 degrees. Storm chances may briefly reduce temperatures. Read more here: https://www.wpta21.com/2022/07/04/storm-chances-increase-tomorrow-after-hot-humid-weather-today/

Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in cars under any circumstances.

If possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside including drinking extra fluids.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on the heat and humidity tomorrow coming up during the evening news tonight.
