FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A relentless effort against the South Bend Lions has kept Fort Wayne FC’s playoff hopes alive. Down 2-1 in the 81st minute, Fort Wayne FC’s Michael Adedokun headed in the game-tying goal off of a corner kick and the game would go on to finish in a 2-2 draw.

Fort Wayne FC came out as the aggressors and got the scoring going in the 29th minute, when Riley Lynch sliced through the defense and found the back of the net. The Lions would respond with two unanswered goals.

The 81st minute heroics from Adedokun has kept Fort Wayne just three points behind both South Bend and Kings Hammer for the USL League 2 Valley Division lead.

Fort Wayne has three regular season games remaining, with their next being on the road against Toledo Villa on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
