TinCaps fall 4-3 in series opener against Great Lakes

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The TinCaps couldn’t rally back on Tuesday night, losing 4-3 in the series opener against Great Lakes.
The Loons took a 3-0 lead after a three-run homer from Jonny DeLuca in the top of the fourth.
The TinCaps scratched across single runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings, drawing within a run heading into the ninth.
Fort Wayne couldn’t deliver in the ninth, and the series starts with a TinCaps loss at Parkview Field.
The TinCaps and Loons continue the series on Wednesday night at 7:05pm.
