FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Allen County and the City of Fort Wayne will present a draft of the All In Allen Comprehensive Plan at a series of events next week.

The public is invited to a “reveal celebration” and feedback sessions that will follow at several different venues.

The reveal celebration open house will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 27, with a presentation beginning at 6 p.m. It will take place in the Calhoun Ballroom of the Grand Wayne Center in downtown Fort Wayne. Light refreshments will be provided.

Additional open houses will be staged around the County at various locations. In each, officials will make a short presentation held 30 minutes after the start of the open house.

The dates and times for these open houses are:

  • Tuesday, June 28: 12 – 1:30 p.m., AWS Foundation, 5323 W. Jefferson Blvd.
  • Tuesday, June 28: 5:30 – 7 p.m., Junior Achievement, 550 E Wallen Rd.
  • Tuesday, June 28: 5:30 – 7 p.m., McMillen Park Community Center, 3901 Abbot St.
  • Wednesday, June 29: 12 – 1:30 p.m., Metea County Park Nature Center, 8401 Union Chapel Rd.

The All In Allen Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint to guide land use, housing, transportation, parks, and more for Fort Wayne and Allen County -- including Grabill, Huntertown, Monroeville, Woodburn, and unincorporated areas in the County.

The plan will be used by area leaders to make decisions and policies that will shape the community for years to come. The draft was guided by public input, analysis of existing conditions and community visioning to ensure the comprehensive plan is reflective of the communities it will serve.

The team is excited to present their vision of how to navigate the challenges—and opportunities—facing our community.
