FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The captain is back. Anthony Petruzzelli has signed a new deal to return to Fort Wayne for a sixth season.

The 29-year-old forward and team captain recorded career highs in goals (27), assists (30) and points (57) last season. Petruzzelli has not missed a game due to injury since joining the Komets on March 31, 2018.

The team also announced the signing of forward Semyon Babinstev. Babinstev signed with the Komets prior to the 2021-22 season, but was not able to see the ice due to immigration issues.

Rounding out Monday’s signings is 21-year-old rookie defenseman Marc-Antoine Pepin.
