FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Temperatures stayed in the 70s Saturday, and they’ll struggle to reach the 80s Sunday before hot and humid weather makes a comeback.

Skies stay clear overnight. Temperatures will drop to the low 50s, and some spots may even see a few lows in the upper 40s. Winds gradually calm through the evening.

Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds. Humidity stays pretty low, and temperatures will rise to the upper 70s to low 80s.

The heat returns Monday. Highs top out near the 90° mark. Humidity gradually builds in, but it won’t feel too sticky Monday.

It will feel much more humid Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday in particular will be very hot, with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Factoring in the humidity and heat index, it’ll feel near 100°. As a result, we’ve issued a First Alert Weather Day for Tuesday because of the dangerous heat.

Temperatures again reach the mid 90s Wednesday. However, a cold front approaches the region, bringing rain and storm chances to the forecast. That front will get rid of the humidity for the rest of the week.
