Hassell lll homers and Vela pitches stellar to lead the TinCaps to their third win in four games

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Robert Hassell lll continues to rake since returning from the COVID-19 list. His first inning two-run home run gave the TinCaps an early lead, and starting pitcher Noel Vela gave up just one run in six innings of work. Fort Wayne picks up their third win in four games, defeating Lansing, 7-2.
Hassell lll also added a double and Olivier Basabe had a two hit game to go along with two RBI. The TinCaps bullpen relieved Vela in the seventh and allowed just two hits in the final three innings.
Fort Wayne and Lansing meet for game five of their series on Saturday night at 7:05 pm.
