Ind. (WPTA) - The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department says they have arrested a man after police recovered items from about 20 burglaries following a tri-county pursuit.

The department says officers were notified that a wanted man was believed to be driving eastbound on US 30 in western Kosciusko County around 5 p.m. on Thursday. They say an off-duty officer spotted the car and attempted to pull it over, but the man fled.

They say the driver, identified as 47-year-old Randall Earl Koth, dropped off two passengers near CR 200 N before continuing eastbound on US 30 to SR 13. Koth then went off-road and damaged a cemetery near Old Road 30 before leading officers to SR 5. Police say Koth then got out of the car after stopping along Epworth Forest Road, west of CR 875 E, and was taken into custody following a brief foot chase near a wooded area.

Officers say they found multiple narcotics in his car and items from about 20 burglaries in the Syracuse, North Webster, Milford and Warsaw areas. He is preliminarily charged with burglary and theft.
