FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A first alert day has been issued for Tuesday due to temperatures rising above 95 with the potential for heat indices around 110 degrees.

This weekend will be relatively quiet by comparison with cooler and drier conditions. Today rises into the low 80s under plenty of sun. Humidity decreases throughout the day and tonight.

Tomorrow starts in the mid 50s and stays under 80 for much of the area. Sunday starts even cooler but rises into the lower 80s.

Heat and humidity return Monday as highs climb into the 90s. Tuesday will be dangerously hot and humid with the potential for Wednesday also to be as hot and humid. We’ll have the latest on the heat and humidity on the way coming up at 12 and 5PM on ABC21.
