KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Two men were rescued as their boats sank on Shock Lake on Tuesday. Officers with the Department of Natural Resouces said the men were testing the boats when they began taking on water.

Shock Lake is near North Webster.

Authorities said the boats sank quickly, but neither man had a life vest. The pair clung to their submerged vessels as rescuers moved in.

The boaters were cited for not having approved floatation devices aboard their vessels, which is required by state law.
