TinCaps get shutout by Loons on Sunday, split series

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Great Lakes scored early and often, defeating the TinCaps by an 8-0 final. Although Sunday was a performance to forget, Fort Wayne did earn a split of the series.

The game was postponed after the fifth inning due to rain, and the TinCaps were yet to record a hit. Noel Vela took the loss for the TinCaps, giving up five earned runs in just 1.2 innings pitched.

The TinCaps begin a series at home against Lake County on Tuesday at 7:05 pm.
