Through yet another school massacre, a Sandy Hook mom fights for safer schools
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Michele Gay lost her youngest daughter, Joey, on December 14, 2012. On that day, a young man targeted an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut with a semi-automatic rifle. He killed 20 children.
A decade later, the nation mourns another massacre that played out like the events in Newtown. Just like then, politicians argue, deflect and present competing points of view. Parents who lost their children wonder if anything will change. For Michele Gay, that fight is worth having. She spoke to ABC21′s Tom Powell on the News at 7.
