ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Area public pools are announcing their opening dates for the 2022 season.
Jury Pool, located at 1702 Glencoe Blvd., was originally set to open on May 28, but officials say they have pushed that opening day back to Tuesday, May 31. Regular pool hours for the summer are 12:30 to 8 p.m., but due to staffing issues, it will only be open six days a week. Tickets for kids 3 to 17 are $4.25, those 18 to 54 cost $5.25, and tickets for those 55 and older are $4.25.
Children two and under get in free and anyone three and up gets in for $3.75 if it is after 5 p.m. New Haven Parks and Recreation says the pool will be closed on Mondays although swim lessons and swim team will still be held Monday-Friday. They say they will reconsider the pool schedule if staffing issues improve.
In Fort Wayne, Northside and McMillen Pools are set to open on June 4 (details in the image below). Memorial Pool’s opening date has yet to be determined. City splash pads are set to open for the season on May 28 at 9 a.m., see a list of locations here.
