FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) says no one was injured after an apartment fire on the south side of town Thursday morning.

Crews say they responded to reports of an apartment fire in the 2200 block of Hoagland Avenue at the intersection of Hoagland and West Creighton Avenues. When they arrived, they say there was fire coming out of the second-floor window.

FWFD says everyone inside had already evacuated. The fire in the apartment was extinguished about 10 minutes after their arrival and FWFD says the fire is under investigation at this time.

Crews worked for a period of time removing smoke from the entire structure. FWPD, TRAA, Allen County Building Department, and NHC assisted.
