FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Brooklyn Pints owners took to Facebook to announce that the business will be taking over the shop that used to house the popular West Central Microcreamery.

The downtown Fort Wayne ice cream shop, located at 725 Union St., told customers back in February that they would be closing in March after three years of business. Owners then posted in late March that they would be passing the torch to a new set of owners.

Then on Wednesday, Brooklyn Pints Microcreamery made a Facebook post to introduce new owners Brian and Trisha. They say they graduated from The Culinary Institute of America before moving to NYC and working in fine dining restaurants for about five years. The couple said it has always been a dream of theirs to open their own ice cream shop.

Owners say they are still renovating the shop and will announce an opening date soon.
