FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The man arrested after a Friday morning raid at his home and his business faces nine felony counts of drug and weapons charges.
Fort Wayne police arrested Michael Chapman after they say they confiscated cocaine, guns and other evidence at his home and at a business at Taylor and Paul streets. The latter is marked as “Taylor Auto Sales,” but records show that Chapman is the owner of a different registered company -- Chapman Tranzport LLC -- and police tell ABC21 that they believe he was subleasing the property.
Chapman now faces four Level 2 cocaine counts; four Level 3 counts related to narcotics in general; one Level 4 count of firearm possession by a serious violent felon; and a single misdemeanor involving weapons possession by a domestic batterer.
A judge on Monday set bond at $412,500, with special conditions, should Chapman post it. Another hearing was set for Thursday.
