FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Terrell Jermaine Starr has studied and reported from Ukraine for years. When the Russians invaded the country he loves and admires, his coverage become much more personal.

Starr founded and hosts the Black Diplomats Podcast, is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, a Fulbright Scholar, and his reporting has appeared on major broadcast and cable networks. In his discussion with ABC21′s Tom Powell, Starr talks about life in a war zone, what it’s like to cover the crisis, and how his brand of reporting differs from what you may be used to.

Terrell Jermaine Starr has studied Ukraine and reported from that country for years. For him, Russia's savagery has opened up a new dimension in his journalism.
