FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Soccer fans will again have the opportunity to experience international competition when the “Club Tigres” reserve unit visits Fort Wayne FC in June.

The local club announced that it will take on the Tigres UANL reserves -- from Monterrey, Mexico -- at 7 p.m. on June 22 at Shields Field. Tickets are available online for that match, with prices set at $20 for adults and $10 for youth (children 5 and under are free).

“Tigres UANL is a storied club and the opportunity to play them will be a thrill for our players,” FWFC head coach Mike Avery said. “It is an honor to test ourselves against one of the biggest clubs in CONCACAF.”

Tigres UANL has been part of the renowned Liga MX, the top tier of the Mexican football league system, for over 60 years. Fort Wayne FC is set to begin its second season in USL League 2.
