‘Young the Giant’ to headline Middle Waves festival; lineup for return announced

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The return of the Middle Waves Music Festival in 2022 will feature indie rock band “Young the Giant” as its headline act. Organizers released the lineup for the June 17-18 event on Wednesday evening.

The Los Angeles-based band is set to play on the second day of the festival, which starts on a Friday and continues through Saturday. Rapper “Big Boi” -- half of the duo “Outkast” -- will close out Friday’s set.

The festival was last staged in 2019 and was called off the following two years due to the pandemic.

“We are thrilled to be back! It’s been a long two years in waiting. We are grateful for our sponsors and 2020 ticketholders for sticking with us,” said festival co-chair, Sanee Lombardi

The Middle Waves Music Festival will be staged at the Foellinger Theatre campus and is presented by Sweetwater Sound.
