A little weekend snow
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Although the first half of the weekend will be quiet, a quick-moving clipper system will bring some light snow to the region late Saturday into Sunday morning.
The next 24 hours will be pretty drama-free, however! Plan on partly cloudy skies tonight with increasing clouds overnight into Saturday morning. As a result, overnight lows will be a few degrees warmer than they were this morning.
The Alberta Clipper we’ve been tracking for a few days will zip across the Upper Midwest Saturday afternoon and settle into Northwest Indiana very early Sunday morning, between 3-5 am. The snow will then overspread the local area between 4 and 8 am before moving to the southeast by midmorning Sunday. Roads could be snow covered Sunday morning, so please keep this in mind if you have to head outside anytime before 9 am.
Another clipper could bring some more light snow to the area midday Monday, though this will likely impact southern Michigan more than northern Indiana.
