FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Some lake effect snow showers and freezing drizzle caused crashes all over the area. Tricky travel conditions are likely through tonight and into Tuesday morning, mainly on untreated roads and surfaces.

Temperatures remain in the 20s through the night, bottoming out in the low 20s. More scattered snow showers and patchy freezing drizzle will be possible, primarily before midnight. Most main roads have already been treated, but untreated roads will remain slick. For that reason, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10PM.

A few slick spots will likely still be around Tuesday morning. However, temperatures rise through the day, entering the mid to upper 30s by Tuesday afternoon. We’ll also see some sunshine by the afternoon, meaning any slick spots or icy patches will melt.

A cold front arrives overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing more cloud cover, dropping temperatures, and the chance for more scattered rain and snow showers. Behind the front, highs drop down to the low 20s, making for a chilly end to the week.
