Staffing shortage forces e-learning day at Carroll Middle School
District says COVID-19 cases partly to blame
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Students at Carroll Middle School will be staying home this Friday after Northwest Allen County Schools made the decision to move the school to an e-learning day.
According to a release, there is not enough staff available to open the building to students. The district says some of the shortage comes from positive COVID-19 cases among the staff at Carroll Middle School
“We cannot staff and supervise the building safely tomorrow, therefore, our best option is to use eLearning for the day,” said Brandon Basham, principal, Carroll Middle School.
Meal packets are being sent home with students at the end of the day Thursday. If parents need to make other meal arrangements, they are asked to call the school’s front office tomorrow at (260) 637-5159.
