FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The SAC will switch things up for its football teams, beginning in the 2023 season.

Next year, the conference will split into two divisions.

‘Division A’ will feature the largest schools in the conference: Bishop Dwenger, Carroll, Homestead, Northrop, and Snider.

‘Division B’ will include the remaining schools: Bishop Luers, Concordia, North Side, South Side, and Wayne.

Outside the Huddle reported on the likelihood of this change last week.

Under this new divisional set-up, teams would play all four teams within their division, and three games against the opposite division. That will free up the first two weeks of the season for each SAC team to schedule two opponents from outside of the conference.
