Essegian passes major milestones as tournaments tip off in Northeast Indiana

ALBION, Ind. (WPTA) - Central Noble’s Connor Essegian broke the Noble County scoring record, and passed 2,000 points for his career in a 67-41 win over Angola.

The night at Angola began with a 52-38 victory for the Hornet girls in their NECC opener against Central Noble.

In the ACAC tournament, Woodlan’s teams swept their doubleheader against South Adams. The Warrior girls won 48-35, while the boys posted a 70-34 win over the Starfires.

Homestead’s girls picked up a 63-55 win over Mishawaka Marian, led by Ayanna Patterson’s 25 points and 12 rebounds.

The Homestead boys also won on Thursday, beating Blackhawk Christian in overtime, 69-62. Fletcher Loyer put up 31 points for the Spartans.
