Gov. Holcomb, state health officials give COVID-19 update Wednesday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - As COVID-19 hospitalizations have reached near-record levels in Indiana, Governor Eric Holcomb has announced that he will give an update on the status of the virus in the state.
Holcomb and state health officials will host a media briefing to provide updates on COVID-19 impacts in Indiana on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 2:30 p.m.
Earlier this month, Allen County moved to “red” on the state’s county metrics map, which indicates the highest level of COVID-19 community spread. The first case of the omicron variant found in Indiana was reported on Dec. 19 after the sample was collected on Dec. 9 from an unvaccinated Indiana resident.
