FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Canterbury junior Saed Anabtawi has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American team, school officials say.

Anabtawi was one of 88 boys selected to be on the team, and one of just five Hoosiers picked to play. He is the only player from Fort Wayne, officials say.

“He’s made great strides every year as a goalkeeper, and he works very hard,” Canterbury soccer coach Greg Mauch said. “Saed’s got God-given talents, and he’s making the most of them.”

Anabtawi was named to the All-State team as a sophomore and a junior, and school officials say this is his first time making the All-American list. He’s the eighth Canterbury boys soccer player to make the team.

A release sent by the school says Canterbury boys soccer finished this season 13-2-3, their season ending in Regionals.
