FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Today was the coldest day of the season so far with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s! While a handful of Thanksgiving holiday weekends have featured cold weather and snow over the past ten years, it’s not exactly normal. Highs this time of year still average in the mid 40s.

Lows tonight will fall into the mid to upper 20s under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday will be much warmer with highs returning into the low 40s, but a weak clipper system will graze the area by midday, resulting in some very light precipitation (mostly in the form of drizzle/light rain, though a brief rain/snow mix cannot be ruled out).

Sunday will be a cloudy with some light drizzle and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

So, while these temperatures are not exactly normal in the literal sense, they’re also not unprecedented!
