WABASH, Ind. (WPTA) - The Wabash County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they found a missing 18-year-old’s body late Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Wyatt Engle was reported missing by his family Monday, November 15 after he didn’t show up at school. The Wabash Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert on November 16th. They say family members and the department searched Engle’s usual route but didn’t find anything.
Then Wednesday, police say a jogger called the department just before 5 p.m. They reported an overturned car, partially submerged in a creek on County Road 400 E. between County Road 900 N. and County Road 1000 N.
Police confirm they found Engle’s body inside. They say they are treating this investigation as a traffic accident.
