AUBURN, Ind. (WPTA) - A DeKalb County woman faces multiple felony drug charges following her arrest on Wednesday and an investigation that began when an officer recognized the driver of the car she was in.

Auburn police initiated a traffic stop in the 1300 block of S. Main Street after an officer spotted a man known to be wanted on an active warrant.

A K-9 “free air sniff” of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, needles, scales, baggies and drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Joshua Ames, 30, was taken into custody for the active felony warrant.

Officers arrested Debra Martin, 27, on counts of dealing methamphetamine, dealing marijuana, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. The first three charges are felonies.

Ames and Martin were booked at the DeKalb County Jail.
