FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Thanks to an anonymous donation, the Delphi double murder investigation’s reward fund has swelled to $325,000.

The Indiana State Police announced Monday that the donor sent the investigators $100,000 to help coax a tipster to come forward to help detectives solve the 2017 murder of two young girls.

14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams disappeared on Feb. 13, 2017, while hiking near their hometown of Delphi.

Volunteer searchers found their bodies the next day in a wooded area.

The search for their killer has evolved over the past four years, with police initially releasing a still image of the suspect and then an audio recording and a video of the suspect.

Police have also released two sketches of what they believe the suspect may look like.

No arrests have been made since.

State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said investigators believe the killer is hiding in plain sight and likely lives in Delphi.

“We have a witness. You made mistakes,” Carter said.

“We are coming for you and there’s no place for a heartless coward like you to hide that gets his thrill from killing little girls.”

Over the years, police have received tens of thousands of tips.

Authorities ask you not to post side-by-side pictures of the sketch and who you believe may be a suspect on social media.

The Indiana State Police and Carroll County Sheriff’s Department will not publicly clear anyone in this investigation until an arrest has been made.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact law enforcement by utilizing the TIP HOTLINE: or 844-459-5786.

When contacting the tip hotline, you’re asked to provide as much information as you possibly can.

For example, the full name of the person of interest, their date of birth or approximate age, physical description, address, vehicle information, why they could be involved, and if they have a connection to Delphi.

Your information will be sent directly to the investigative team, who is still actively working on this case every day.

If a member of the law enforcement team needs more information about your tip, they will contact you.
