Stabbing on Halloween morning leaves one man with life-threatening injuries

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - One man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a reported stabbing early Sunday morning.

Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue on reports of stabbing that had taken place in a nearby home.

Officers were advised that the victim was stabbed outside of the residence and were also advised that the possible suspects had fled the scene on foot from the area.

Officers were also given possible vehicle descriptions that were seen leaving the scene before their arrival. They were working to investigate all the information they were given to establish the validity

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a short time after arriving to the hospital’s emergency room, his condition turned to life-threatening injuries.

Initial indications are that there was some type of an altercation that led to this stabbing, detectives are working to determine what exactly took place.

This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
