FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Starting Tuesday, fully vaccinated employees at Amazon facilities across the country will be able to work “mask-free.”

The company confirmed on Monday that it is adjusting its policy so that workers who show proof of COVID-19 vaccination no longer need to wear a face covering while on the job.

If a state order requires continuing use, Amazon noted that takes precidence.

Recent build-outs in Allen County have put the company in position to be one of the largest employers in northeast Indiana.

Amazon already has the second-biggest workforce in the United States, behind only Wal-Mart.
