Middle Waves festival kicks of Friday in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA 21) -

The Middle Waves Festival had a preview of what's to come during a jamboree Thursday night.

The Middle Waves festival begins kicks off Friday at Headwaters Park. There, people will find two free stages and a paid stage. There's over 30 performers lined up to take the stage. Along with the music there's also art installations, painters, food trucks and a kids festival.

"If you want to take a break from the music, go check out the art, if you want to a band or are crazy about hip hop you can go visit a different stage. You want to have your picture taken with a llama that has glitter all over them you can do that," Katy Silliman said. "The one thing we want is to wow people and we want them to say I've never expected them to see that in Headwaters".

Middle Waves runs Friday from 4 p.m. To 11 p.m. and runs all day Saturday from 11 a.m. To 11 p.m.
