Person of interest in triple shooting arrested, charged

UPDATE: Police arrested 21-year-old Travon Fincher Tuesday evening.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said detectives learned Fincher was at the police operations center. When they went there, they found Fincher accompanied by his mother. Fincher's mother told police when se saw her son on the news she brought him in to the station.

Police transported him to the Allen County Jail and preliminarily charged him with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of murder.

Fincher will make his first court appearance Wednesday.


FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Police are looking for help finding a person of interest in a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured.

ABC21 previously reported the shooting happened inside a home in the 800 block of Madison St. Thursday night. One person died in the shooting and two others were injured, one last reported in critical and the other serious condition.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said detectives are looking for help finding 21-year-old Travon Rynell Fincher in connection with the shooting. Fincher is a 6' tall black man with brown eyes and black hair last seen in dreadlocks.

Fincher should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is being asked to contact police at the non-emergency line 427-1222.
