INDIANAPOLIS (WPTA 21) -

Police officers from around the state are strapping on their helmets to remember those we've lost.

Officers be heading out from Indianapolis Monday for the 17th annual Cops Cycling for Survivors bicycle ride across Indiana. During the 13 day, nearly 1,000 mile ride they'll be honoring Indiana's fallen police officers and their families and survivors, including those of fallen officers Aaron Allan, Daniel Barrett, and Joseph Cox.

You might even see them next week as they pass from Mishawaka to Angola, and then on to Bluffton. They'll be holding a departure ceremony at 8:30 Monday morning, and the ride will finish up on Saturday, July 21.
