TinCaps shutout Loons, sweep two game series

MIDLAND, Mich. (WPTA21) -

The TinCaps got some excellent pitching on Tuesday night at Great Lakes,securing a 2-0 victory, and a two game sweep against the Loons.

Nick Feight and Justin Lopez drove in the two Fort Wayne runs, on a sac fly and RBI single respectively.

Osvaldo Hernandez (6-3) had an excellent start, with five strikeouts and no walks. He gave up six hits, but no runs.

Austin Smith tossed two perfect frames in the seventh and eighth, then Travis Radke came in to earn his 11th save of the season.

The win boosts the TinCaps overall record to 41-41. The TinCaps are 9-4 in the second half, one game behind Lansing for the lead in the Eastern Division.

The 'Caps and Loons both travel to Parkview Field now for another two-game set, starting with the Fourth of July Game at 6:05pm.
