 Looking for somewhere close to watch the fireworks this Fourth of July? 

Independence Day is approaching quickly and you can prepare by planning where you'll be watching the fireworks this year.

The City of Fort Wayne's dates and times for the use of consumer fireworks are as follows: June 29 through July 3, and July 5 through July 9, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to two hours after sunset (11:00 p.m.), and on July 4th between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight. 

The Fort Wayne Fire Department is urging locals to be safe when using fireworks, and offered the following safety tips:
