Warrant service leads police to discover drugs, paraphernalia

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA21) -

A LaGrange man faces additional charges after a warrant service Tuesday night.

The LaGrange Marshal's Office said the LaGrange Police Department served an arrest warrant for Landi Hammond for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.

While serving the warrant, the department said an officer search Hammond and found drug paraphernalia. The department obtained a search warrant for the home. During the search, the department said officers found multiple bags with suspected methamphetamine along with suspected marijuana, hypodermic needles, and drug paraphernalia. 

Hammond was arrested and preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of a hypodermic needle and maintaining a common nuisance along with the warrant charges.

The department was assisted by the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department and the Wolcottville Police Department.
