Fort Wayne man makes desperate plea to find missing daughter

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA 21) -

On Tuesday, Fort Wayne Police released a missing person alert about a woman who vanished over the weekend. That woman is Hadley Miller - a 25-year-old mother who vanished over the weekend.

Her father, Duane Miller, worries the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are suspicious.

"There are enough things that don't fit," says Duane. "It's unlike her to leave without making some contact with either us or a close friend, all of which we've been in close contact with."

Hadley was last seen Saturday afternoon. She didn't take any of her personal belongings, clothes or money.

Hadley has brown eyes and brown hair, is 5'7'' and weighs 179 pounds, and wears prescription glasses. She also has a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder.

Hadley doesn't have a car, but could have been picked up.

"We love her very much obviously and we just want her to be safely back," says Duane.

Adding a sense of urgency to the search - Miller has a medically-managed mental condition. Her father says it is critical that she doesn't miss her next injection - scheduled in just a couple days.

Her disappearance has taken a toll emotionally on her family. Her father says they won't have peace, until they know she is safe.

"Having children is like having your heart walking around outside of your body," says Duane. "And you don't get that analogy until you've been a parent. And even if they're 25 years old, your child is always your child. That love tether doesn't stop."

If you know where Hadley is, call police at (260) 427-1222 or the detective bureau at (260) 427-2101.
