FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA 21) -

Fort Wayne police are looking for your help after a retail store was robbed in late February.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said the robbery happened at B&R Meats One Stop Shop on February 21. Two people walked into the store and bought a pack of cigars. They then walked around the counter and punched the clerk in the face.

The clerk started wrestling with the two men and police say he was able to get them outside. Police say one of the men were able to punch the clerk again, sending him to the ground. The suspects rolled the clerk over and took his wallet. They were last seen running behind the building heading east.

Police tried to track the suspects with a K-9 and were able to follow the trail to a nearby Marathon gas station before losing the scent. The department said officers asked the gas station owner if he had any video. The video showed two people that matched the description of the suspects approach the lot before walking behind the station.

One of the suspects is identified as a 6' tall black man wearing black pants and a black hoodie. He was wearing white shoes. The other suspect is identified as a 5'10" tall black man wearing a green hoodie.
