Ind. (WPTA 21) -

The ice cream brand that pulled its products from the shelf due to a possible health risk is making its way back into the freezer aisle.

Blue Bell Ice Cream announced its products will be available in several Indiana grocery stores including Fort Wayne starting Monday. The company had previously recalled all of its products due to a Listera outbreak linked to one of its products.

“We are glad to be back and excited to be in a position to expand our sales territory,” said Wayne Hugo, vice president, sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “Various Blue Bell personnel have spent the past several weeks in Indiana as we prepare for the opening."

Before Monday's announcement, the company reopened its distribution factory in Indianapolis to service the area. The factory has about 25 employees on staff so far with plans to bring in additional employees from other states to help with the opening.

The company said it could take up to two weeks to deliver the products to every store selling Blue Bell. In Indiana, the product will be available in Bloomington, Columbus, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, Richmond, Terre Haute and West Lafayette. The ice cream will be sold at Meijer, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, Harvest Market, Safeway and Walmart stores.
