IPFW can now officially move forward with the realignment to Purdue University Fort Wayne.
IPFW officials received a letter detailing a final decision from the Higher Learning Commission which allowed the university to begin marketing and branding the new Purdue University Fort Wayne. The agreement goes into effect, July 1st.
Health sciences programs on campus will be managed and controlled by Indiana University as IUPUI programs. Everything else will be retained by Purdue University. Chancellor Ron Elsenbaumer calls it an exciting time to be part of an institution.
“The continued collaboration between Indiana University Fort Wayne and Purdue University Fort Wayne is critical to the future success of both institutions," Elsenbaumer said. "As we transition to being separate and independent—yet equally committed—partners, I encourage everyone to remember our number one priority—our students.”
