The man wanted by local police in connection with a deadly shooting last November has surrendered.
Officials say Nickolas McKinley turned himself in on Tuesday. They say two friends drove with him from Cleveland to a Fort Wayne police station.
McKinley faces a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness tied to the Nov. 7 shooting of Javon Sims.
Sims was found in the 2900 block of Smith Street in critical condition. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
After three months of investigation, the Fort Wayne Police Department on Monday identified McKinley as a suspect in that case.
